Bridging the Digital Divide Through Ecosystem-Driven Solutions

Ensuring a safer online environment for children is critical in protecting their well-being, fostering responsible digital engagement, and equipping key stakeholders with the necessary tools to address online risks. By leveraging ITU's Ecosystem Initiative Development Playbook, the Centre will take a human-centric and multi-stakeholder approach to designing collaborative programmes Child Online Protection Programme implemented by the Communications Authority of Kenya to orchestrate the ecosystem that enhance child online safety through awareness, regulation, and protective mechanisms.

Ensuring robust cybersecurity and data protection is critical for building trust, securing digital transactions, and protecting critical infrastructure in the innovation ecosystem. The Centre will develop collaborative frameworks and initiatives to enhance cybersecurity resilience, promote data protection best practices, and foster regional cooperation in combating cyber threats by leveraging ITU's Ecosystem Initiative Development Playbook.

This initiative will benefit public and private sector stakeholders, academia, financial institutions, innovation agencies, entrepreneurs, and digital inclusion advocates by creating targeted programmes that enhance access to digital infrastructure, skills development, and technology adoption.
