It is envisioned that the GIEC will contribute to the digital transformation agenda through the following main value propositions that we expect the GIEC to carry along: 

• The GIEC emphasises an Ecosystem Thinking Approach which seeks to foster collaboration cross-cutting within the various sectoral value chains. The synergies arising from the GIEC Programme will create an environment conducive to innovation relevant to the digital economy.

• The Playbooks which lay out the detailed operational procedures for the implementation of the GIEC and strategic objectives of the programme. The playbooks will provide capabilities to enable Kenya to consider its context and design frameworks that support an ICT-Centric Innovation Ecosystem. The GIEC programme builds on findings of the Country Review that was undertaken for Kenya by the ITU in 2019. 

  The GIEC provides a framework of global collaboration and gives Kenya the opportunity to benefit from and support other countries and possibly regions by enabling a policy and innovation orchestration space in its future areas of strength in the long term.
